The end of summer and school holidays is a little easier to take for Apple fans thanks to the back-to-school keynote. The Cupertino company will most likely unveil the iPhone 17 the week of September 8th . An event not to be missed if you plan to get one of the four smartphones from the Apple brand. The standard iPhone 17 could attract more consumers this year. Apple is not content with the status quo and is indeed taking it to the next level , like its other models.

The standard iPhone 17 finally equipped with an A19 chip

Jeff Pu has made a new revelation about the iPhone 17, and more specifically about the more "affordable" model in the range. A few months ago, he claimed that it would still be equipped with the A18 chip already on board the iPhone 16. Jeff Pu has backtracked and indicated that the standard iPhone 17 should indeed be equipped with an A19 chip . He got this information directly from Apple's supply chain.

It would have been quite surprising if Apple had chosen to ship an iPhone 17 with an A18 chip, especially after the launch of the iPhone 16th last February. Consumers would undoubtedly have criticized the Apple brand's decision. The A19 chip is also expected to power the iPhone 17 Air, while the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will get the much more powerful A19 Pro processor . Furthermore, the iPhone 17 Air, Pro, and Pro Max are expected to offer 12GB of RAM, while the standard iPhone 17 will remain limited to 8GB of RAM.
